Hello!
So I am super excited. I am counting down the days until I am in California for the first time. I will be there from Sept 7th until the 17th. I am going with my parents and we are traveling over most of the lower 2/3 of the state.
Sept 7th we arrive in San Francisco... we will be there for a few days with our "tour guide" and great family friend Tom Strahan. I am also excited to go visit Alcatraz and the Golden Gate. I think my mom is more excited about seeing places she hit-up back in the 70s... Haight Ashby.
On the 9th we will head over to Yosemite and Sequoia Nat'l Forest. I am sure there will be lots of hiking and picture perfect moments. I just want to see the giant redwoods. Maybe we will get in some biking or a canoe trip.
On the 12th we head back to the coast and are staying in Morro Bay. Mom wants to take us to Hearst Castle, but I hear we cant miss Big Sur either.
Sept 13th has us in LA for some quick touristy things... you know... Walk of Fame, Hollywood sign, Chinese Theatre.
We will finally end up in San Diego on the 14th until we leave on the 17th. We are staying with my cousin Maria and her boyfriend Brendan in La Jolla. Not sure what will be on the plans, but I know there is tons to do.
I will see what I can do about keeping this blog up... since we are suppose to have internet most nights (or Derek will have his portable broadband) I will try and give everyone a glimpse of the trip-.
